Identity Card


A non-transferable identity card duly signed by the principal is issued to each student. The card is an essential document for each student and it should not be damaged. Every student must bring the identity card with his/ her and must produce it when demanded. Duplicate identity card is issued in case of loss, damage of the card on payment of identity card fee. A student who is awarded a scholarship must produce his/her identity card at the time of drawing scholarship money.

Subject Change


A student should apply to the principal through the Head of the concerned Deptt. within 15 days of admission for change of subject. No application for such change is entertained after 15 days from the commencement of classes.

Transfer from College


No transfer certificate will be issued until all the dues and fees of the college are paid in full.After producing clearance certificate,a student may be given transfer certificate

Hostel Accommodation


The College has a girls hostel for accommodation of girls students

Scholarships


There is provision for the following State and Central Government, and Non-govt. Trust sponsored scholarships for the students:
1. National Merit Scholarship
2. State Scholarship
3.SC/ST Scholarship
4. OBC/MOBC Scholarship
5. Merit Scholarship by S.J Jindal Trust for poor and meritorious students.
6. Ishan Uday.
In addition to these scholarships,there is provision for other awards for students on the basis of brilliant performance in different final examinations.

Exemplary Reader Award


The Barbhag College Library has been awarding one student every year for his/her excellent and regular use of library since 2006.The Best Reader Award is given to the student who shows keen interest and judiciousness in using the college library.

College Magazine


Barbhag College Students’ Union publishes an annual Magazine where both students and teachers contribute. Over the years this Magazine has served as a platform for intellectual development particularly of the students of the College.

Barbhag College Library:A knowledge Hub


An academic library is a backbone of Higher education institu- tions. Barbhag College library is not exception from it. The Barbhag College library always provides better services to its users since its inception i.e. from the year 1965, the year of establishment of the library. On dated 23rd march 2019, the library shifted to centrally air conditioned new library building which is approximate 5000 square feet carpet area. All the modern facility available in this newly shifted library. This is the first fully AC library amongst the provincialised colleges of Assam.

Collection : The Barbhag college library holds rich collection of Assamese literature, encyclopedia, Gandhiana collection etc. The library holds 31000+ books as per accession register of the library.

Computer Lab : The library has separate computer section for the users with internet browsing facility. The users can also browse more than 4000+ e-journals and 3135000+ e-books in this laboratory under databases NLIST of INFLIBNET centre which are subscribe by the library.

Periodicals Section : The library subscribes 13 print journals of national and international level along with 10 numbers of reputed magazines of Assamese and English languages. These periodicals are kept in a periodical section of the library with separate sitting arrangement.

Best Reader Award : To motivate the users to use the library, f every year library provides best reader award to the students who uses the library Frequently and judiciously in an academic session. Two students, one from boys and one from the girls, are selected for this award.
